Our Process
Initial Consultation and Site Visit. At this meeting we’ll walk through your existing landscape and discuss your dreams and objectives. A questionnaire is provided when the appointment is made to help you organize your thoughts and to help me understand your personal style and lifestyle.
Site Analysis and Measurement. Specific site information is gathered such as elevation changes, light patterns, drainage issues, and existing plants. Measurements and photographs are used to create a base map. Client supplied sitemaps or existing survey information is helpful and can accelerate the process, possibly reducing costs.
Preliminary Concept Plan. These drawings will convey alternative ideas for overall layout of the space. During this meeting collaborative decisions will be made regarding final plant selection, hardscape materials and garden layout.
Master Plan. A detailed, to scale drawing that assembles everything that appealed to you in one or more of the concept plans. Plants are named indicating their location and quantity. Hardscape features such as paths, patios, walls and water features are also indicated. Detailed plant lists including botanical and common name, quantity and purchase size are assembled and organized into phases.
